The following pages[sic] contain the goals and implementation strategies of the Lincolnville Comprehensive Plan. They are the heart and soul of this Plan, suggesting a path to guide Lincolnville’s future toward the 21st century.

The development of these goals and implementation strategies was arrived at through a lengthy process involving many residents. The results of the 1989 comprehensive plan survey were tabulated and evaluated. Starting in late 1990 and continuing through 1991 and into the spring of 1992, the Comprehensive Planning Committee collected data, solicited suggestions from a wide variety of individuals, boards, committees and groups and developed a series of 13 inventories which are the basis for these goals and implementation strategies.

• Goals focus the reader on a particular area of importance to the future of Lincolnville. They suggest a general course of action or objective toward which to work

• Implementation Strategies outline the steps necessary to accomplish a specific goal. Following each implementation strategy is a charge to a particular committee, group, or individual with a time frame.
