is to reduce victimization of mature adults
in this part of Maine.

 
  TRIAD logo1 This is a brief overview of TRIAD and a few of the goals it intends top serve. The bottom line is that our seniors deserve the chance to live out their lives free of victimization and abuse, and with the independence that they truly desire.  

What is TRIAD?

TRIAD is a joint venture in Waldo County between law enforcement agencies, seniors, and service providers.

TRIAD ia a partnership whose goal is to address crime issues that affect senior citizens and enhance the delivery of law enforcement services to this population.

WHAT DO TRIADS DO?

1. EDUCATE: Sponsor crime prevention and victim advocate programs for seniors.

2. ASSIST: Recruit and train volunteers to assist law enforcement agencies within Waldo County.

3. EMPHASIZE: Staff reassurance programs for seniors to reduce fear and provide moral support.

4. COMMUNICATE: Provide a forum for law enforcement and the community to share needs and concerns, and develop solutions.

5. INVOLVE: Unite seniors, senior service agencies, law enforcement, and fire and rescue, to identify problem areas for seniors in the local community, and develop and implement community-wide solutions.
