Please bring in the previous registration.  Excise tax is computed on boat's age, length, and engine horsepower.  If the boat is used in freshwater, the milfoil sticker fee is based on the horsepower of the motor. 

A bill of sale from the dealer or individual, with serial numbers, is required.  The Maine registration numbers, if already on the boat, is very helpful information.  State sales tax on the purchase price will be collected on private sales (form obtained at the Town Office).
