The Select Board is legally responsible for the function of the local government. The Emergency Management (EM) Director, appointed by the Select Board, is responsible to the Select Board for coordinating disaster response activities, requesting resources from mutual aid partners and from the County, and for compiling disaster information. Any one of the Selectmen or the EM Director may activate the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or initiate the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) if they determine that the disaster situation warrants the activation.
