The Select Board has asked that the Conservation Commission become an educational resource for the community on the Browntail Moth situation. 

The Commission has requested that the following brochure be made available to the public.  Additionally the Maine Forest Service Insect & Disease Lab has sent the attached February 18, 2020 notice and map in regards to browntail moth populations in Lincolnville.  The aerial survey conducted by the Maine Forest Service identified detectable defoliation in Lincolnville.  Also below is the 2021 aerial detection map as prepared by the Maine Forest Service as well as a link to the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DCAF) BTM dashboard.  The dashboard provides information about where the DACF knows BTM is located in Maine.
